Life Story NYC

Welcome to LifeStory

At LifeStory, we believe every life is a story worth telling. We believe that families deserve more than just third party stories about a loved one, rather first person stories that will outlive the family. Through a relaxed conversation, we capture your experiences, lessons, and personality on video. Our team then edits the footage in a polished keepsake that you can share with loved ones for generations to come. The idea is that families get to hear, see, and feel their loved ones at a moment in their life that wouldn’t otherwise be documented, making the memory even more lasting.

How it works

  • 10-15 minute call or email where we discuss how you would like the process to go. Including location, questions, type of conversation, length, editing style, etc.

  • The interview takes place at your desired location. We sit together and go through questions that you’ve chosen. It can be purely Q/A form where we ask questions and you answer or it can be conversational form where the interviewer is allowed to ask follow up, more in depth questions similar to how a normal conversation may flow. You get to decide whether you want interviewers voice in the finished video or not.

  • We briefly chat to discuss any moments you want to take out of the recording or if you want to do any questions over. This is a moment to reflect and guide how you would like the finished video to look and feel.

  • Our team takes the footage back to edit for a first copy to be shared with client.

  • First copy video gets shared with client to make minimal changes to editing - changes like speed, transitions, background music if any, visuals etc.

  • Client shares any feedback and changes that they would like to see in the finished product.

  • We share the finished video with you digitally or via USB.
